PRECAUTIONS TO BE OBSERVED AFTER COATING
KL Coatings, Inc. recommends the following actions after coating is complete for countertops, cabinets, and tile/fiberglass:
Countertops
Clean up any spills immediately. Avoid using acidic or abrasive cleaners as well as chemical sealant products or the 5-year limited warranty will be voided. Clean the newly-coated countertop with soap and water to avoid damaging the surface. Do not place hot, heavy, or abrasive objects on the newly-coated surface. Always use a cutting board when preparing food on the countertop or the newly-coated surface will be damaged and the 5-year limited warranty will be voided.
Cabinets
Clean newly-coated cabinets with a clean and damp cloth. Clean cabinets in small increments and wipe away moisture. Moisture damage is NOT covered by the 5-year limited warranty. Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaners and/or cleaning appurtenances as they will damage the surface and void the warranty.
Tile & Fiberglass
Wipe dry your tile or fiberglass bathtub/shower and surround after each use. Water dripping from leaky shower heads or faucets can damage the newly-coated surface and will void the warranty. Avoid leaving bottles, cans, sponges, soaps, or other bathroom aids on the newly-coated surface since they can trap water and damage the surface. Moisture damage from trapped water will void the warranty. Newly-coated surfaces should be cleaned with mild soap and non-abrasive sponges. Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaners on the newly-coated service or you will void the 5-year limited warranty. KL Coatings, Inc. recommends Simple Green as the recommended cleaner for tile and fiberglass in bathtubs and/or showers.
